Fisker Inc., founded in 2007, is a leading company in the electric vehicle industry, renowned for its advanced battery technology and dedication to developing autonomous shuttles for smart cities and campuses.
Fisker's app aimed to revolutionize ad targeting by combining passenger data with shuttle information to deliver personalized, timely, and connected ads to campus students and employees.
During the product strategy session with Rootstrap, it was determined that for the Fisker app to function properly, it needed to use the passenger’s location and destination to calculate arrival time and an in-app calendar to determine if the user had time to make a stop at a particular business.
The goal was to create a dynamic, personalized ad experience that would influence the behavior of users by promoting businesses to them both before and after boarding the shuttle.
Rootstrap created a clickable prototype and an animated video to showcase the advanced capabilities of the Fisker app.The app included the ability to use a passenger’s location and destination to calculate arrival time and an in-app calendar to determine the availability of the user for a stop at a business.The prototype and video also highlighted the potential of the innovative personalized ad experience that would promote businesses to users before and after boarding the shuttle.
