React Native

React Native lets us build native mobile applications for both iOS and Android from a single JavaScript and TypeScript codebase. It isn’t a webview; it has direct access to native APIs, which makes it our default choice when teams need rapid development, code sharing, and native performance that’s more than sufficient for most products.

At Rootstrap we structure React Native apps around React Navigation, pragmatic state management with Redux or Context, and native modules for the things that matter in real products: Firebase for analytics and push, Stripe for in-app payments, and integrations for camera, geolocation, and deep linking. We test on real devices, tune for performance, and ship through TestFlight and Google Play with over-the-air update paths for fast fixes.

For Madison Reed, we built a React Native app on a tight, COVID-era timeline (subscriptions, appointment booking, and a loyalty program), then handed it cleanly to their internal team with the documentation and structure to keep building. It’s a representative example of how we use React Native to get a polished, scalable mobile experience to market quickly.
