We’ve recently had a lot of news coming out of the online magazine Inc. Just last May the magazine, which focuses on fast-growing private companies, named our CEO Ben Lee in their 30 Under 30 list. This select list recognized Ben as one of the most dynamic young CEOs in America – a huge honor for him and proud day for our digital agency. Now Inc. has given Neon Roots yet another great distinction, naming us in their 2016 Inc. 5000 list.
What Is The Inc. 5000?
This list is the magazine’s yearly ranking of the America’s fastest-growing private companies. The Inc. 5000 is “ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a three-year period. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of the starting calendar year, and therefore able to show three full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31 of the last year measured. Revenue in the initial year must have been at least $100,000, and revenue in the most recent year must have been at least $2 million.”
Where Did Neon Roots Land?
From top to bottom, Inc.’s list is packed with the biggest movers and shakers in the world of American startups. At the very top of the list is runaway success story Loot Crate. The LA-based geek & gamer subscription box service has seen a 3-year growth of 66,789% with a current revenue stream of $116.2 million.
Other notable inclusion in the 5000 are revolutionary energy company Legend Solar and underwear entrepreneurs MeUndies. And right there among them is our own mobile app development and digital product agency Neon Roots. With a 3-year growth of 200% and current revenue of $2.2 million, we found ourselves coming in at #1865.
We have absolutely no plan of slowing down anytime soon. So, congrats to our talented team and all the bold startups that made Inc.’s prestigious list.
