So what are the Awwwards?

The awards that recognize the talent and effort of the best web designers, developers and agencies in the world.

According to their site, “We aim to create a meeting point where web professionals from across the world can come to find inspiration; a space for debate; a place to share knowledge and experience; give and receive constructive and respectful critiques. “Always hungry”.

Our mission is to discover, recognize, and promote the talent and effort of web designers, developers, and agencies who create unique digital experiences that are useful, innovative, intuitive, and beautiful.”

Awwwards Of Year’s Past

This isn’t Neon Root’s first time around the block with the Awwwards. In 2013, we were actually one of the winners for our innovative homepage.

There is lot of criteria that the Awwward judges look for when determining the hottest new sites on the web. Their evaluation system is based on 4 things: Design, Creativity, Usability, and Content.

It is scored by eight judges with the vote that is farthest from the average being thrown out. Users can also vote if they have over 5000 Status Points. All in all, it takes seven days for the final count to be made. You can get all the info you need at the Awwwards Evaluation System page.

Of course, the most important thing is that voting closes soon. Our scores are looking great so far, but we could still use some support. It’s also a great opportunity to dig around and see what other talented developers are bringing to the world of web design.
